Engagement through passion
We are proud and have great pleasure in supporting the VLN team of Werner Keller with his drivers Mirko Keller, Josef and Carsten Knechtges since 2007 with a BMW 325i.
VLN stands for Vereinigung Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring – Association Long Distance Championship Nürburgring. This racing series exists since 1977 and is a combination of 10 motorsport clubs. Each one of these clubs organizes one of the races whereby 9 of the 10 races are over a distance of 4 hours and one of 6 hours.
Production vehicles and professional factory racing cars participate in VLN races; hobby drivers also test themselves here against proven professional racing drivers.
Hans-Joachim Stuck, Klaus Ludwig and Volker Stryczek are only three of the famous drivers who insist on regularly taking hold of the driving wheel in VLN races. DTM drivers who are still active and even some of those who are no longer active still prove their performance on the Nordschleife course.
The large number of participants on average of about 200 is only possible through the length of the combination of the GP circuit (short loop) and the Nordschleife. Every year, about 30 different makes of car in 29 different classes go to the start line.
